Angel Lights Along the Nile

created this series of Angels based on intuitive impressions he received in 1984 while touring the temples of Egypt.

Sketches were made on location as requested by the John Fetzer Institute. Later, these sketches were developed into paintings and then manifested as limited adition lithographs.

This being, also known to ancient Egyptians as Nut, reminded me of Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. Her masculine aspect can be seen in the upper quadrant of the composition.
